Melbourne, Australia, 21st of August 2025 – Canon Production Printing Oceania today announces the expansion of its product portfolio to include the sale, installation and servicing of Edale (a Canon company since 2022) flexographic label and carton converting systems, as well as the upcoming Canon LabelStream LS2000 digital label press. Australian and New Zealand print service providers and converters will now be able to access from a single source all Canon high-volume digital production inkjet systems together with Edale flexographic solutions.
This portfolio expansion marks a significant step in Canon’s strategy to strengthen its position in Oceania’s commercial and industrial printing and converting markets by delivering a more cohesive customer experience.
Craig Nethercott, Managing Director, Canon Production Printing Oceania, comments:
“Following Canon’s showcasing of industrial and packaging solutions at drupa, and our commitment to become market leader in the industrial labels and packaging industry, locally we’re excited to expand our portfolio. We will now supply Canon’s complete range of market-leading industrial label and packaging solutions. The change will allow us to better serve the Oceania market.
It will also mean that we can supply Edale’s highly regarded presses to converters as well as to printers looking to diversify into the growing label and packaging market, and fully support them with our expert service teams.”
Canon’s expanded portfolio will be particularly beneficial for customers operating environments in which both inkjet and flexographic technologies are required. For example, book printers often use high-volume inkjet presses for book blocks while requiring other systems for covers or very short-run applications, sometimes sharing the same finishing equipment.
Canon LabelStream LS2000 is a water-based, five-colour (CMYK plus white) inkjet digital label press designed for industrial-scale label printing.
